1. "Sedekah Laut"
Sedekah Laut is one of realizing the expression of thanks to God made by fishermen in the village Sidakaya, Donan, Sentolo Kawat, Tegal Katilayu Lengkong in Cilacap district.
The ceremony is usually done on Tuesday or Friday Kliwon Kliwon in Suro, precisely dated 18 January 2008. The ceremony is marked with a discard (melarung) offerings (jolen) to the sea in the Teluk Penyu Beach.
First Step with a procession of bring offerings from pendopo Cilacap district to Teluk Penyu Beach, the ceremony is accompanied by the procession of participants dressed in traditional indigenous Kadipaten Cilacap tempo first.
Arriving in the Teluk Penyu Beach, offering and then brought the boat decorated with colorful ornaments for the cast to the ocean in the area of the island which is called Small Majeti. The event resumed in the afternoon with a traditional art in every fishing village concerned.
